United Energy Around the Bay

Event update

United Energy Around the Bay 2021 – Event cancelled

Following our announcement last week that the event will not be going ahead as planned in October – we’re devastated to let you know that the event was not able to be rescheduled.

This means, the next edition of United Energy Around the Bay will be on Sunday 9 October, 2022.

We fought hard to avoid cancelling the event for a second year, however the busy summer period around the bayside, as well as some scheduled road works on the West Gate Bridge, ultimately left us unable to find a suitable alternate date to deliver the United Energy Around the Bay you know and love.

We know that this hits hard for all of our riders, as well as our team, contractors and partners who will all greatly miss contributing to this iconic Melbourne bike riding event.

What happens next?

Registered riders will have their entry automatically roll-over to our 2022 event, no action is required other than to keep pedalling and #RideOn to next spring!

However, if you’d like to transfer the value of your entry to a Bicycle Network membership or donation, or take a refund, you can learn more about the ticket options below.

#RideOn – Sunday 3 October 2021

While we can’t come together this October at United Energy Around the Bay, that doesn’t mean we can’t get out for a pedal and experience the simple joy of riding bikes. Whether it’s a lap around the block with the kids or around your favourite local loop with a mate, share your ride on social using #RideOn and tag @Bicycle_Network for a chance to be featured on Sunday 3 October 2021.

Thank you for your support

We’re so grateful for your ongoing support, patience and commitment to our organisation, team and events through these uncertain times. It means the world to us. See you in October 2022!
