Ride features

Starting at Albert Park, the 200km Sorrento return ride screams sea views as it takes in the best of the eastern side of Port Phillip Bay. Enjoy the likes of Mount Martha, Oliver’s Hill and Beach Road. 

The route is relatively flat with just over 800 metres of climbing. The steepest parts of the ride are at Oliver’s Hill (600 metres of climbing at 6%), Balcombe Hill (roughly 2.4km of climbing at 4.4%), then just a gradual climb with some rollers thrown in for 6km as you come out of Mornington and head towards Frankston.

**The early bird jersey is a classic fitting jersey designed for comfort. Please check your jersey size on our men’s classic jersey sizing chart or women’s classic jersey sizing chart before registering to ensure it's the right fit.

Valet – free rider service

Valet is a free optional service for 200km+ riders passing through either Sorrento or Queenscliff. We'll transport an A4-sized satchel for you from the start line to your lunch stop. You can use it to carry a fresh kit, extra tubes or a favourite snack. You will also receive a second satchel so we can return your things back to Albert Park (return satchels will not arrive at Albert Park until after 3:30pm on Sunday).

Select 'valet' as an optional item during your registration and collect your valet bagsduring pack collection times at Albert Park. Please ensure any packed valet bags are also dropped off during rider pack collection times.

Return satchels not collected on-event will be brought back to the Bicycle Network office and can be collected between Wednesday 11 October – Wednesday 18 October 2023 between 9am and 5pm. All items not collected will be disposed of thoughtfully.
